A Mission Rooted in Service and Resilience
At Equip Products, our purpose goes beyond fitness. It’s about honoring those who’ve sacrificed, supporting those who need an outlet to rebuild, and making movement accessible to every body. We’re not just designing equipment—we’re carrying forward a mission of resilience, service, and support.
This mission comes into even sharper focus when we see stories like Matthew Johnson's 1,000-mile run across Texas, featured in his video: "I Ran 30 Miles With An American Flag For Those Who Can’t". With every step, Johnson honors veterans, first responders, and anyone who's faced obstacles that made movement feel impossible. It’s not just about miles—it’s about meaning.
Mike Egan, Marine and Adaptive Athlete
One of the people who inspires us daily is Mike Egan, a Marine and adaptive athlete who lost his legs in combat. Mike's image appears throughout our site, and for good reason: his story represents everything we believe in. He pushes boundaries, supports his fellow veterans, and lives proof that disability is not inability.
Mike's work with ValorFit.org gives returning veterans access to gym memberships and the camaraderie they often miss after service. Fitness is not just physical—it’s emotional and communal. Through ValorFit and his own world record attempt, Mike is creating powerful change.
A Personal Connection: Our Family’s Service
Our commitment to this cause isn’t just professional—it’s personal. Our son served two tours in Afghanistan as a Marine Crew Chief aboard the Huey helicopter. While he survived, he had to endure the loss of his friend and mentor, Staff Sergeant Trevor Cook.
For more on Trevor, see the link below:
During a training accident, an onboard a UH-1Y Huey helicopter that crashed at Camp Pendleton, California, resulting in the death of Staff Sergeant Trevor Cook, a crew chief with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 369. The accident occurred on July 6, 2011, during a training flight. Sgt. Cook was 25 years old and from Orleans, New York.
Trevor's legacy and the trauma Andrew, our son, deals with daily live on in the work we do to empower adaptive athletes and support veterans. Every strap, every LapMat™, every piece of gear we build is a small part of that tribute.
Momentum with Marcus Lemonis and The Fixer on Fox
Recently, our mission got a moment in the national spotlight thanks to Marcus Lemonis and The Fixer on FOX. Our simple pitch "helping Veterans and others with trauma or disability get in the gym" earned us a $10,000 promotional grant. It proved that what we’re doing matters. And now we want to amplify that spotlight toward others doing incredible work, like Matthew Johnson and Mike Egan.

Final Thoughts
This is why we do what we do. Our goal isn't just to sell gear. It’s to serve those who served, support those who sacrifice, and help people move again—physically, emotionally, and socially.
We’re proud to be a part of this movement. And we invite you to be part of it too.
