Veterans Day 2025
If you've been following us, you've no doubt heard of Mike Egan. His story is nothing short of remarkable—especially when you consider his background as a bilateral amputee who lost his limbs while serving our country in the USMC. He's a man of unbreakable character: a devoted husband, father, and fierce competitor in the Adaptive CrossFit Games.
But the quality that stands out most? His profound humility.
A Historic Challenge for Veterans
Yesterday, in honor of Veterans Day and to push his own boundaries, Mike embarked on a feat never accomplished before: becoming the first person in a wheelchair to wheel 150 miles in 24 hours.
The setting couldn't have been more perfect—the serene, inclusive grounds of Morgan's Wonderland in San Antonio, Texas. Mike started his journey surrounded by loved ones: friends, family, and his dedicated trainers from the Adaptive Training Academy, all cheering him on with unwavering support.
Victory: 152.36 Miles and Counting
Today, Mike crossed the finish line with an astonishing 152.36 miles under his belt—in just 24 hours. We couldn't be prouder of our friend!
True to form, Mike didn't undertake this monumental effort just to set a record. His true mission? Raising funds for ValorFit.org, a veterans' not-for-profit dedicated to empowering those who've served.
