Empowering Possibility: Edwin Muñoz and the Rise of Adaptive Fitness in Waco, Texas

Edwin Munoz - Waco Adaptive Gym

In the world of adaptive training, there are few voices as committed, passionate, and inspiring as Edwin Muñoz. As a longtime advocate for inclusive fitness, Edwin has not only become a fixture at the renowned Adaptive Training Foundation in Carrollton, Texas, but he’s also paving the way for a more accessible future through his work in Waco.

Recently featured in KCEN-TV’s inspiring piece, Edwin is on a mission to bring Central Texas its first adaptable gym—a space designed to serve people with disabilities and those recovering from injury by bridging the critical gap between rehab and long-term wellness.

Equip Products is proud to be a small part of Edwin’s story. He was one of the very first customers to purchase our Wider SkiErg base—a customized support platform for the Concept2 SkiErg that allows for improved access and stability. It’s gear like this that can make meaningful fitness possible for all bodies, and Edwin has helped us continue to improve by giving real-world feedback through his training.

Through his work, Edwin is building more than a gym. He’s cultivating a community of belonging, transformation, and hope. His nonprofit is focused not only on adaptive fitness but also on healing, recovery, and helping others reclaim control of their physical journey—regardless of circumstance.

As his vision for an adaptable gym in Waco grows, we encourage everyone in the Equip community to follow and support his mission. Whether you’re a therapist, athlete, caregiver, or fellow advocate, there’s room for all of us in this movement.

📣 Support Edwin’s Vision

Equip is committed to partnering with changemakers like Edwin to keep pushing adaptive training forward—for every body.
